Christina owns and operates Keurwood Equestrian. 

Christina has been riding, training and breeding horses since 1992, and has a gift for working with sensitive and hot horses that have been deemed unsuitable for other riders.  Christina competed with many such horses on both the Central Western Trillium Hunter Circuit, and the National A Circuit.  Her accomplishments include 5th overall out of nearly 50 competitors in the 1994 Trillium Children's Hunter division, and several wins at the National level in the lower jumping classes.  

Christina continues to train and bring along many young and made horses including her 1.30m jumper, Travola (2000), as well as her up-and-coming hunter prospect, Cirque du Soleil (2009).  She prides herself on her subtle and patient riding style and ensures that her horses have a basis in dressage prior to starting any jumping to assist with engagement and suppleness.       

Christina is an entrepreneur who embraces a collaborative and open-minded approach when it comes to horse training, management and care, and continually strives to improve her knowledge and skills.  Respectful of all disciplines, Christina accommodates a variety of equestrian training and management philosophies and practices.  Christina has always appreciated the uniqueness and quirks of each equine individual and believes each and every horse at Keurwood is special and should be treated as such.

Christina has a degree in Biomedical Sciences and focused on animal genetics, immunology, nutrition and physiology.  Christina has also furthered her academic training in equine nutrition, stallion/mare management and breeding management with renowned veterinarians at Ohio State University, and has provided strategic consulting to Gencor's (now EastGen) equine breeding department.  Christina spent 10 years in the pharmaceutical industry in senior management positions prior to the inception of Keurwood Equestrian.  Christina now enjoys the peace and tranquility of the country with her children and her supportive husband, as well as her continuing education opportunities with Omega Alpha Pharmaceuticals Inc. as an Education Consultant with specific focus on equine natural health products.
